Chicago

Friday, March 31st, 2006

I used to hate their songs and I used to freak out everytime a balladeer-wannabe, try to belt out one of their songs in the videoke.

But lately, I have been singing along with their infectious tunes. My mind’s been bugged with songs like "Will you still love me(for the rest of my life)" "I believe" or "Hard habit to break". Indeed, they truly are a hard habit to break and I can’t just get their syrupy tunes off my mind.

Man! I don’t know why I’m falling in love with Chicago. It just grew in me and I just can’t deny the fact that I kinda relate to some of their songs.

Peter Cetera’s wide vocal range is really commendable and their songs are simply captivating, with simple lyrics and catchy melodies.

They say, when you get old, you kinda get into things that is classic and old. I think that’s one of the main reason why I get hooked unto Chicago. So okay, I’m getting old, and getting cornier as time pass by, but what can i do…it just happened and I just have to deal with that.

As for now I’m planning to burn some of Chicago’s songs and get familiar with their other tracks. Also, I plan to sing one of their songs in a videoke bar. I just hope someone won’t get freaked out when I do that.

Monkey Business!

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

I really admire friends and former classmates who have ventured into business. I must say they are really lucky to have been able to try their entreprenuership skills and their talent in merchandising and PR into good use.

I just hope that they would  not end up like some businessmen that we know…abusive and greedy…

I know of a classmate who have ventured into an entertainment production business just recently. I think she has accumulated a lot of easy-money during her stint as a budding businesswoman.

Now, we haven’t seen her in circulation. From the grapevine, I’ve learned that a lot of people that she had dealt with before have been turned-off with her unequal and sometimes abusive business transactions.

You see quick money always dissapear easily…

Personally, I don’t really have the hoots for money and fame…I think I’d rather stay that way than accumulate wealth and get lost along the way.

Passwords

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

Passwords are made for security, for protection, for confidentiality…we have passwords so that we would be able safe guard things that we don’t want others to know or others to get into…It is something that we create for us to feel secure and for us to keep a secret or two.

Passwords may be kept within or may be shared to others…I believe it is always a pleasure and a privilege if someone gives you his or her password. It means he or she trusts you…It means that you are trustworthy enough to know that certain part of her or him…

It hurts to know that there are some things that you cannot get into…There are things in a certain person that you just can’t be part of…You still have to ask for a certain password so that you’ll be able to enter.

Maybe I’ll just have to mind my own business now…

It was October 2005 when I last step into my blog world.

I don’t know but I’ve really had a hard time writing down anything. Maybe the negative things that have hounded me & the people close to me for the past few months have crept into me and it’s just so hard to get any inspiration.

It really felt bad when I see my friends and colleagues go through such tough times and I just can’t do anything about it. No matter how hard I tried to keep calm and feel the positivity within it just didn’t work.

Anyways, things seem to be okay nowadays and I just pray that this will continue in the coming days. Hopefully the problems that bugged us for the past  year will be a learning experience & a catalyst for more brighter things to come.

I really missed my blog and I’m just glad to have written another entry…
